Nona Chili - CEO Nona holds a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Johannesburg. She has fourteen years experience in the oil industry and eight years in the banking sector. Nona's career in trading began in 1992 at First National Bank where she was a Foreign Exchange Trader. On leaving First National in 1997 she was employed by the Central Energy Fund (CEF) as a Foreign Exchange Trader and later moved to the subsidiary of CEF, Strategic Fuel Fund (SFF) as a Crude Oil Trader. Her responsibilities included crude oil trading, risk management, management of strategic crude oil storage tanks, management and relocation of strategic crude oil from Ogies mines to Saldanha in South Africa. In 2002, she joined TOTAL South Africa as Crude Trading Manager, involved in term contracts and spot crude oil supply for refinery processing, Crude and Products risk management, shipping and operations. Late 2003 to mid 2004, she worked for Rand Merchant Bank - Commodities desk as Energy market structure. During this period she facilitated BEE trade finance transactions valued to approximately R3.2 billion Rand. Her success during this period led to her nomination for the ABSIP (Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals) and was in the Top 3 Finalists. In July 2003, she rejoined TOTAL as Manager: Crude Trading and Shipping. |
